CheckCom WAP Gateway für GSM, GPRS und UMTS

Ein WAP-Gateway ermöglicht es mobilen Endgeräten, auf Inhalte im Internet zuzugreifen. Das Gateway nimmt dabei Anfragen von WAP-fähigen Endgeräten wie z.B. WAP-Handys entgegen und kontaktiert andere Server, um die Inhalte (WML-Dokumente, Graphiken) bereitzustellen. Anschließend werden die Antworten gegebenenfalls in ein für das Mobilgerät geeignetes Format umgewandelt und an das Endgerät zurückgeliefert.
